Some Derby County supporters are hoping Chelsea will allow them to keep Fikayo Tomori next season – and maybe beyond.

Tomori moved to Derby on a season-long loan deal last summer, alongside Mason Mount, reuniting with his former Chelsea colleagues Frank Lampard and Jody Morris at Pride Park.

And the centre-back has been an ever-present for the Rams, sitting out only one league game so far.

But will Tomori’s form be enough to warrant a first-team place at Chelsea next season? The following Derby fans are praying not, after his role in Tuesday’s 2-1 win against Wigan Athletic…

Chelsea are not exactly known for promoting young players, but may be forced to change their ways if they cannot overturn the transfer embargo recently placed upon them.

Even if Tomori is allowed to leave, however, a Premier League club may be the Blues’ preferred destination.
