Vydra became a big favourite at Derby last season, finishing the season as the Championship’s top goalscorer.
Yet the saga surrounding his future has dragged on all summer and there has been no commitment from club or player regarding his future.
Derby have been said to need to sell Vydra to sign other players, so they can comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
With Vydra said to be nearing an Elland Road switch, some Rams fans are questioning whether he is worth all the hype, despite his productive last season.
In support of that argument, it was one of only two seasons out of six where Vydra has scored more than 20 goals.
Yet for Leeds, simply to have a player capable of that, even if he is no guarantee to do so, could be worth the outlay.
