The Sheffield Wednesday striker spent last season on loan at Derby County.

Some Derby County supporters are calling for the return of Sheffield Wednesday’s Sam Winnall.
It follows a report in the Sheffield Star which suggests Winnall could leave Hillsborough on loan before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Winnall spent the whole of last season borrowed by Derby, for whom he scored six goals in 18 appearances before suffering cruciate ligament damage in February.
The striker recovered from that injury late last year, but has since been sidelined with a hamstring problem which has hindered his return to the Sheffield Wednesday XI.

And, having recently recovered Lucas Joao and Fernando Forestieri, the Owls left Winnall out of their squad entirely for Sunday’s defeat at Chelsea.
