Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after noticing something interesting about Andros Townsend’s goodbye message.
What’s the story?
Well, the 30-year-old joined Everton yesterday after his contract with Crystal Palace expired at the start of July.
Townsend has signed a two-year deal at Goodison Park, and will reunite with Rafa Benitez, who he worked alongside at Newcastle.
After his move was announced, the 13-cap England international posted a tweet thanking Crystal Palace after five years in south London.
While it was a heartwarming message – one which many Crystal Palace fans loved – there was something interesting about it.
Issue with Alan Pardew?

The eagled-eyed Crystal Palace fans noticed that Townsend paid tribute to Sam Allardyce and Roy Hodgson, but not Alan Pardew.
That is especially strange, seeing as it was actually Pardew who brought the winger to SE25 in a £13m deal from Newcastle.
Townsend also failed to thank Frank de Boer. However, after spending just a few weeks with the Dutchman before he was sacked, that makes sense.

In Pardew’s case, he would perhaps like to think he played a big role in Townsend joining the Eagles, so the lack of gratitude is very interesting.
Let’s see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have been saying about it…
