According to a report from The Mirror, Crystal Palace are eyeing Burnley boss Sean Dyche as Roy Hodgson’s successor.

The former England manager signed a one-year extension recently but that might just be his final Eagles contract.

Hodgson will tun 73 this summer and it is likely that he will hang up his boots. Palace are right to plan ahead and Dyche is a fantastic option.

The Burnley boss has taken the Clarets to new heights since bringing them up to the Premier League.

They finished 16th in their first season but made it into the qualifying rounds of the Europa League in their second year in the top flight.

Dyche is a top-quality manager and his work speaks for itself. If Palace can convince him to take the job at Selhurst Park, there is little to no doubt that he will be a success story.

Burnley fans will certainly be against their boss leaving them for an immediate rival but we have seen such moves happen in the past.

Crystal Palace fans seem to love the idea of Dyche managing them and it looks like they will welcome them with open arms.

Here is how a few of them reacted on Twitter.
