This might be an example of ‘silly season’ but Chelsea are being linked with Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
The Champions League finalists have already been linked with bringing the likes of Erling Haaland to Stamford Bridge during the summer.
But apparently, the Liverpool star is also on their radar.
According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Chelsea have put the 28-year-old Liverpool attacker on their shortlist of potential targets.
Of course, Salah has already been in West London following a mixed first stint with the Blues, before being sold to Roma.
Here’s how Chelsea fans reacted to the speculation:
Will Thomas Tuchel sign him?
Well, if it was up to the German then yes, but his predecessor at Borussia Dortmund, Jurgen Klopp, probably won’t let him leave – and especially not to Chelsea.
Remember, Fenway Sports Group have a lot of making up to do following Liverpool’s attempt to join the European Super League.
And selling the club’s best player to a huge rival would be such an enormous backwards step.
John Henry acknowledged the fans’ anger at the ESL fiasco last month and the Boston businessman would be absolutely insane to let this happen.
