Some Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Ross Barkley for Aston Villa against Arsenal on Sunday evening.
Barkley, who joined Villa on loan from Chelsea in the summer of 2020, was in action against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in North London.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder started the Premier League game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Dean Smith’s side won 3-0.
The England international had one of his best games in a Villa shirt and formed a brilliant partnership with Jack Grealish in attacking midfield.
The former Everton star started the game slowly, but once he got going, Arsenal found it hard to cope with him.
Barkley played as a number 10, was creative with the ball, and helped out defensively as well.
According to WhoScored, the Chelsea-owned attacking midfielder took four shots of which one was on target, played six key passes, had a pass accuracy of 81.8%, won one header, took 72 touches, attempted three dribbles, and put in seven crosses.
Some Chelsea fans were impressed by the display produced by Barkley for Villa against Arsenal and have praised him on Twitter.
