Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic reportedly want to sign Hibernian’s John McGinn in the summer transfer window.

Hibernian midfielder John McGinn has been linked with a move to Celtic in the summer transfer window, with The Glasgow Evening Times reporting that the Glasgow giants want the Scotland international midfielder.
Neil Lennon’s Hibs reportedly want £4 million as transfer fee for the 23-year-old, who is one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership.
Hibs were in action on Thursday, as Lennon’s team faced Runavik in the second leg of their Europa League first qualifying round tie.
The Scottish club won the game 6-4 to progress 12-5 on aggregate, and reported Celtic target McGinn featured in the match.
As a result, as reported by BBC Sport, the 23-year-old former St. Mirren star will not be eligible for Celtic’s Champions League qualifiers should he move the move to Brendan Rodgers’s team in the summer transfer window.
Celtic fans have taken to social reworking site Twitter to give their reaction to McGinn’s performance and current situation, while Hibernian manager Lennon has commented on his future.
Lennon told The Daily Record regarding McGinn: “He looked fit and his passing was good and showed he’s very much a Hibs player.
“That may change in the next week with a club or any other club that may come in for him. We have our valuation of the player, we said we would play him tonight and we played him.”
Meanwhile, Lewis Morgan will miss Champions League qualification campaign after undergoing a knee operation earlier this week, according to The Daily Mail.
