Some Celtic fans on Twitter are reacting to Jason Denayer’s latest performance for Belgium.

Roberto Martinez’s side came from behind to beat Denmark 2-1 tonight.

And one of the reasons why they fell behind was because the former Celtic defender lost his marker – Yussuf Poulsen – who fired his country ahead within two minutes.

Denayer had a mixed loan spell at Parkhead while being contracted to Manchester City during the 2014-15 campaign.

Here’s how some Hoops fans reacted to his performance tonight:

On the whole it wasn’t a poor showing from Denayer.

Yes, he was most to blame for Denmark’s early opener but for the rest of the game he was relatively faultless.

The 25-year-old, who won a Premiership and League Cup double at Celtic, was linked with a return to Glasgow following his loan, but it never materialised.

The big centre-back is now a Lyon player and has been since 2018, having had numerous other loans after leaving Celtic – Galatasaray and Sunderland among them.
