Celtic earned a comfortable 3-0 win over Alashkert on Tuesday night.

Celtic earned a comfortable 3-0 win over Armenian outfit Alashkert on Tuesday night in the first round of Champions League qualifying – but some Celtic fans were not impressed with Jozo Simunovic’s display.
Brendan Rodgers made the surprise decision to partner French duo Moussa Dembele and club-record signing Odsonne Edouard in attack, and it seemingly paid off.
The Hoops struck their first blow in first-half injury time, as Edouard turned the ball home from inside the penalty area after James Forrest’s effort was particularly wayward.
The scoreline remained at 1-0 until the final 10 minutes in Armenia, before Forrest scored a second after a goalmouth scramble. Callum McGregor made the result a lot more comfortable, placing a shot into the bottom corner in the 90th minute.

Simunovic started alongside Kristoffer Ajer and Jack Hendry in a three-man defence, as they and goalkeeper Craig Gordon kept their first clean sheet of the season.
But some fans were not impressed with the Croatian man’s display, who is said to be the target of a £5million move to French side Lille (Daily Mail). One fan Tweeted: “The less said the better”.
