Celtic fans are reacting on Twitter to seeing Moritz Bauer back at the club.

The Hoops signed Bauer on a season-long loan from Stoke City last summer.

And despite a promising start to life at Parkhead, Bauer, a £5 million signing by the English club in 2018, faded badly and barely featured during the second half of the campaign, prior to it being finished early.

Back in April, the Austrian right-back hinted that he was heading back to the Potters after admitting that his stint at Celtic turned ‘bitter’ [The Scottish Sun].

But low and behold, the 28-year-old was among the Bhoys players being put through their paces by Neil Lennon at Lennoxtown this morning.

Here’s how Celtic fans reacted to seeing him on Twitter:

Bauer’s original agreement was supposed to expire on June 30, so perhaps he’ll be heading back down South next week.

Celtic had the option to make it permanent, but it doesn’t make a great deal of sense, especially after Jeremie Frimpong emerged as one of the Premiership’s most exciting young right-backs.
