However, for one reason or another, the former Bournemouth boss turned down a move to Glasgow, and the SPFL side instead appointed Ange Postecoglou.
There’s seemingly an element of sour grapes between Celtic fans and Howe as many Bhoys supporters have taken to social media to react to his seemingly impending move to Newcastle.
It’s fair to say that fans don’t expect Howe to be much of a success at St James’ Park, a few of them have tipped Newcastle to be relegated under the ex-Cherries gaffer, while others have lamented the Englishman for following the money.
