Barcelona fans on Twitter aren’t too impressed with the rumours linking them with Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi and Liverpool’s Joel Matip.
The shock news came out earlier this week when Catalan-based newspaper SPORT shared that the struggling Spanish giants are looking for short-term options at the back and they have identified the Arsenal and Liverpool duo.
Barca fans have made it quite clear that they wouldn’t want to sign either player, which would be music to the ears of Liverpool fans but not those from Arsenal.
Given Liverpool’s injury situation, there is no way they would allow Matip to leave, whilst Mustafi is a back-up player at the Emirates and he does seemingly need to be taken off the wage bill.
But those currently frustrated fans in Catalan aren’t too keen on being the ones to do that.
In truth, the most likely deal to happen is that Mustafi one because of his situation compared to Matip, and either way, it would be a shock.
Barcelona are going through one of their worst periods, at this moment in time, both on and off the field.
Their fans have touched upon how the club is being run in a chaotic manner of late, and it even saw their star man Lionel Messi trying to force a move in the summer, which didn’t materialise.
