According to Sport, Liverpool are interested in securing the services of the France international forward on a loan deal form Barcelona this summer.
The report in the Spanish publication has claimed that the Premier League champions want to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield on a loan deal.
The Reds are claimed to have been in contact with Barcelona, and are ready to pay a loan fee and the Frenchman’s salary.
Dembele is a very talented and promising young forward, but he has had injury problems during his time at Barcelona so far.
A loan deal for the 23-year-old would make sense for Liverpool, especially as they have invested £41 million to sign Portugal international winger Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to BBC Sport, and there is no point in signing another attack-minded player on a permanent contract.
Liverpool do have a very good attacking unit, and with Jota coming in, it will become better, but there is always room for quality players, and Dembele on a loan move would make the Reds’ squad bigger and stronger, especially as the Merseyside club will be aiming to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season.
