Everton continue to be linked with Barcelona’s Yerry Mina.

Everton continue to be linked with Barcelona defender Yerry Mina – and their hopes have been boosted by the Catalan giants signing another centre back today.
Mina, 23, joined Barca from Palmeiras in Brazil in January, but struggled to show his best form given that Barca already had Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti in the heart of defence.
The Colombian’s hopes of playing have been dented again, as Barcelona have today confirmed that they have snapped up Sevilla defender Clement Lenglet.
It’s now though that Mina could be on his way out as a result, and Everton look to be at the front of the queue, with the Liverpool Echo noting their boosted hopes.
Goal recently reported that Everton are closing in on a £21million deal for Mina, and Barca may now look to cash in given that they have spent heavily on luring Frenchman Lenglet to Catalunya.
Mina hit three goals in three games for Colombia at the World Cup this summer, and whilst the club look set to offload Mina already, fans don’t quite agree.

Barca fans want to see Mina stay at the Camp Nou and develop behind the starting centre backs, demanding that Thomas Vermaelen is sold rather than Mina – but it seems that the Catalan giants could go in the opposite direction and offload the Colombian to Everton instead.
