Daniel Sturridge actually came through Aston Villa’s youth academy, and could leave Liverpool in the summer.

Some Aston Villa fans have suggested that they would be keen to see Daniel Sturridge join.
Indeed, there are some supporters at Villa Park who could be keen to see the former England international brought in.
If Sturridge was to move to Villa then he would bring Premier League experience to the claret and blues’ ranks.
Sturridge is also a player who Villa assistant manager John Terry knows well, as the pair played together at Chelsea.
Villa have tended to buy young players since Dean Smith came in, so would have to break their transfer strategy to get hold of Sturridge.
The big question with the Liverpool forward is whether he would be able to stay fit if he moved to Villa Park.
Sturridge almost certainly would be a quality addition to Villa’s squad, but he has always struggled to stay off the treatment table and, given that his wages would be high, the transfer would be a gamble of Smith’s side.
Sturridge actually spent time in Villa’s youth academy as a teenager, before moving to Coventry City.
