Some Aston Villa fans have suggested moving for Fabian Delph, amid rumours he could join Everton.

The Telegraph claim that Everton want Delph for £8 million, with a transfer set to go through, and Villa supporters appear to be keeping a close eye on the move.

Delph was once a fans’ favourite at Villa Park, but he really aggravated supporters through the way he left to join Manchester City.

There is still a section of Villa fans who have not forgiven Delph, but others actually think he could have offered something to Dean Smith’s squad.

Villa are likely to have left it too late to make a bid for Delph, even if they were interested in taking him back.

Villa also seem to have other targets, with Douglas Luiz set to sign for them, according to the Telegraph.

Everton, meanwhile, will be hoping that Delph’s experience and energy can help them next term, as they aim to improve on their eighth placed finish.
