Some Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

According to The Daily Mail, Villa are interested in signing Abraham from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that the Villans have asked the Blues about the striker, but the England international wants to stay at Stamford Bridge and fight for his place.

The striker spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Villa from Chelsea, and, according to WhoScored, scored 26 goals and provided three assists in the Championship.

Although the 22-year-old was a regular in manager Frank Lampard’s team last season – he scored 15 goals and provided three assists in the Premier League, according to WhoScored – the youngster will have a fight on his hands to retain his place in the starting lineup in 2020-21.

That’s due to Chelsea signing Timo Werner, who is one of the best strikers in the world and has arrived at the London club with a strong reputation.

Villa narrowly avoided the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of last season, and manager Dean Smith needs to sign a new striker.

True, Wesley Moraes had injury problems last season, but five goals in 21 Premier League matches – according to WhoScored – is not a great return.

Some Villa fans have given their take on speculation regarding Abraham, and below are some of the best comments on Twitter:
