Aston Villa’s new majority shareholder reportedly has his eye on potentially replacing Steve Bruce with Thierry Henry.

A number of Aston Villa fans have been reacting on Twitter to recent reports emerging from the Daily Mirror which suggested that Thierry Henry could be appointed if the club decide to part company with Steve Bruce.
Bruce nearly guided the Villans to promotion out of the Championship last season, but their play-off final defeat not only denied them a place in the Premier League but also left Tony Xia needing to sell a controlling stake to ensure that Villa did not go into administration.
Unsurprisingly, the reports regarding Bruce’s future and the apparent interest in Henry have prompted a lot of debate amongst the Aston Villa fans on social media.

Bruce has struggled to unite all of the support since arriving in the wake of Roberto Di Matteo’s spell and there appears to be plenty of supporters who would like to see him replaced this summer.
Some believe that Henry’s legendary status from his playing days may make him the perfect candidate to spearhead a promotion charge next season, but many feel that it is too great a risk, especially at this stage of the summer.
