Aston Villa are reportedly eyeing up a loan move for West Ham United striker Jordan Hugill.

Aston Villa’s supporters have certainly had little to smile about this summer following their play-off final defeat at the end of last season. However, with new owners at the helm, it appears that the clouds hovering over Villa Park may be starting to clear.
There is fresh optimism that much of the expected misery will be avoided, and it appears that Steve Bruce has now got his eye on getting some deals done in the transfer market before the deadline.
Unfortunately for Bruce, it appears that a large number of the Villa supporters are less than enthused regarding one of the targets that he reportedly has his eye on.

Hugill has endured a miserable start to life with the Hammers, barely featuring in the months since his £10 million January switch – fee reported by BBC Sport.
And it appears that he would have plenty to prove if he did join Villa this summer, with many supporters not happy with the speculation linking the former Preston North End ace with a loan switch.

Several appear to fear that getting Hugill in would see Villa adopt a direct brand of football due to his target man stature, and others have urged the club to keep Bruce away from recruitment if the forward is indeed one of his targets this summer.
Here is what some of the Aston Villa fans make of the reported interest in Hugill…
