Some Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips for England.
Phillips created the goal for England in their 1-0 win against Croatia at Wembley Stadium in Euro 2020 today.
The Leeds midfielder found Raheem Sterling with a wonderful pass, and the Manchester City attacking midfielder found the back of the net.
Villa and Leeds have developed a rivalry in recent years – the fans will remember what happened in the 2018-19 season – but that did not stop the Villans’ supporters from expressing their admiration for the 25-year-old, as shown below.
Phillips was brilliant today, and it is really great to see Villa fans praise him.
The Villa supporters have put aside their club allegiance and have praised the Leeds star.
The 25-year-old showed today just how good he is.

This was Phillips’s first game in a major international tournament.
And he was playing against a very strong team in Croatia.
But Phillips did not look out of place at all.
The England international actually played a bit higher up the pitch than he usually does for Leeds.
The Leeds star took one shot which was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 93.9%, took 44 touches, attempted two dribbles, and made one tackle and one interception.
