Aston Villa fans have reacted on Twitter to Andriy Shevchenko embracing Jack Grealish on Saturday.
After England thrashed Ukraine 4-0 at Euro 2020, the former striker could be seen hugging the Villa man after the full-time whistle.
Shevchenko seemingly said some nice words about the player, which was acknowledged by Grealish on Twitter.
And Villa supporters liked the classy touch from the Ukraine legend.
Even though Grealish didn’t get on the pitch, he was still lauded in such a manner by Shevchenko, which says a lot about the striker turned coach and Villa’s rising star.
Some Villa fans have pointed out how the club now need to ensure they keep their academy product on their books this summer.
The Premier League champions are seemingly sniffing around for Grealish’s talents.
But with Villa’s ambitious owners at the helm, it’s going to take a hell of a lot to prize away the expert ball-carrier from B6.
Despite all the noise, Villa fans want Grealish penned down to a new deal so all this talk about him can stop.
More than likely, any real movement will probably happy until Euro 2020 is over – that’s either Grealish leaving, or more than likely signing a new deal.
And whilst Villa fans loved Shevchenko’s actions at full-time on Saturday, Grealish can still take his stock to whole new levels ahead of the semi-finals and potentially the final.
