A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the reports coming from Birmingham Live this week which have suggested that Tammy Abraham is a loan target for Villa boss Steve Bruce this summer.

Bruce appears to now be in a position where he can spend some time considering potential transfers with the new Championship season beginning this week. And it appears that Abraham is one player that he has his eye on.

Birmingham Live reports that the Villans are interested in taking Abraham on loan for the coming season, but are considering alternative options with the 20-year-old apparently holding out for a Premier League loan for the time-being.

The news that Abraham is on Villa’s radar has seemingly divided opinion amongst many of the club’s supporters on social media. Some are definitely not impressed with the suggestion that he is currently waiting to see if there is top flight interest as they feel that Villa will only be a backup option.

Others feel that he may not be good enough to force his way ahead of Jonathan Kodjia – who was replaced by Abraham when he swapped Bristol City for Villa Park a couple of years ago. However, there are plenty who feel differently.

The England international was superb during his time at Ashton Gate and showed glimpses of quality during a loan spell with Swansea City last season, and some clearly believe that he could be a fantastic addition on loan.
