Aston Villa are reportedly eyeing up a potential loan bid for West Ham United winger Robert Snodgrass.

A number of Aston Villa and West Ham fans have been reacting to the reports emerging from Birmingham Live over the weekend which suggested that the Villans are plotting a fresh loan move for Robert Snodgrass this summer.
Snodgrass spent the majority of last season on loan with the Championship side and so nearly helped Steve Bruce’s men secure promotion back to the Premier League as they reached the play-off final, only to be beaten by a single goal against Fulham.
It may have appeared to many that Villa’s hopes of bringing the Scotland international back were over following the defeat – especially with the financial uncertainty that appears to have followed since that day at Wembley – but it seems that the club’s new majority shareholders are ready to try and bring the 30-year-old back.

The report does not suggest whether he is likely to be free to leave the London Stadium or not, but does claim that the Villans will be at the front of the queue if the former Hull City ace is available on loan.
Had the reports emerged when the previous campaign concluded, it would have been little surprise if the West Ham fans were more than happy to see Snodgrass leave and the Villa fans on social media were urging the club to do all they could to get him back.

There are certainly a number of Villa supporters who want him back, but with many being impressed by Andre Green in pre-season, the need to get Snodgrass re-signed seems significantly less urgent.
And many of the West Ham fans have no desire to see him leave this summer. The winger appeared to be written off after the start he made to life with the Hammers, but he has fought back with a really encouraging run of games in pre-season, and some have expressed their hope that Pellegrini will hand him a chance once the new Premier League season is off and running.
