Arsenal fans have suggested that they should move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, after he ‘destroyed’ them last night.
Villa picked up a 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Villa Park yesterday, and Grealish’s performance was certainly impressive.
The Villa captain put in a brilliant defensive shift, but also showed his creativity by setting up plenty of chances for his teammates.
Arsenal’s defence just couldn’t deal with Grealish without having to resort to bringing him down on regular occasions.
And Arsenal fans now feel that the Birmingham-born playmaker would be the ideal addition to their squad this summer.
Villa’s win over Arsenal last night may actually make Grealish harder to obtain.
If Villa stay in the Premier League then they will be under no pressure to sell their star man, and the Daily Star believe that they would want over £50 million for him.
Grealish would certainly offer Arsenal an injection of creativity, which could be crucial to them moving forward.
Arteta’s side dominated possession last night, but did not even manage to have a shot on target – and Grealish would surely help provide their strikers with more ammunition.
Whether Grealish would be interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium remains to be seen, but he did call them a ‘great team’ last night on Sky Sports.
