Arsenal have a huge London derby against Chelsea on the horizon.
The Gunners go into the game on the back of a dreadful opening-day performance against Brentford last week, losing 2-0.
On that occasion, Arsenal had neither Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette after it was revealed in midweek that both had returned positive COVID tests.
Mikel Arteta’s side lacked a major cutting edge against the Bees and with Lacazette ruled out against the Blues, and Aubameyang having not trained, it’s likely neither will be involved again.
Arsenal had Folarin Balogun up front against Brentford but some fans of the North London club think the Spanish coach could use Gabriel Martinelli as the spearhead on this occasion.
Martinelli has spent most of his Gunners career under Arteta out wide, but the 20-year-old, a £6 million signing in 2019, has shown promise as a number nine under Unai Emery in the past.
And some Arsenal fans are calling on the Brazilian to lead the line against the European champions:
