Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to surprisingly reveal that they think Bukayo Saka should miss out on the Trophée Kopa.
What’s the story?
Well, Saka has been nominated for the Trophée Kopa, which is effectively a Ballon d’Or for young players.
The Arsenal wonderkid has been nominated alongside Mason Greenwood, Jeremy Doku, Ryan Gravenberch and Pedri.
Interestingly, Arsenal fans think Pedri deserves to win, going against their own Hale End Academy graduate.
Arsenal fans are extremely passionate about their club, and tend to dominate most online votes, so the fact they believe someone other than their own player should win this award is telling.
Are Arsenal fans right about Bukayo Saka?

In our view, Arsenal fans are spot on – the Spanish playmaker deserves this award far more than anyone else.
Pedri – who the Mirror believe is a target for Liverpool – played an astonishing 73 games throughout the 2020/21 campaign.
The 18-year-old – who has a £70m release clause – is a genuine star in the making.
It’s telling that he was trusted by both Ronald Koeman and Luis Enrique to start most games for club and country.

Given his gargantuan efforts, Arsenal fans are right – he does deserve to win the award.
As good as Saka was last term, there’s no competing with an 18-year-old who has played that much football, and at the very highest level.
Pedri even played every minute for Spain at EURO 2020 as Enrique’s side reached the semi-final – he’s a true phenomenon.
For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about the Trophée Kopa…
