Some Arsenal fans believe Dani Ceballos is begging to come back to North London after his latest move on Twitter.

Ceballos helped Arsenal to an FA Cup success a little earlier this month and today, Mikel Arteta’s side faced off against Premier League champions Liverpool in the annual Community Shield.

The Gunners took a first-half lead when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bent one home from outside the box.

But it was the build-up that had the Real Madrid-owned midfielder – who the Emirates Stadium side signed on loan last summer – purring on social media.

Arteta’s side built from the back and passed around Liverpool as if they were a Championship side, before the Gabon international fired home.

And Ceballos reacted on Twitter by posting a series of emojis – including one of a champagne bottle to express his opinion on the style of football – and some fans believe it’s a sign that he wants to re-sign.

According to Arteta [Football London], Ceballos does indeed want another season in North London but it remains to be seen if an agreement can be worked out with Real.

Plus, with Houssem Aouar linked to Arsenal, there’s no need to sign both so it’ll be one or the other.
