Some Arsenal fans believe that Dani Ceballos has dropped a hint on Instagram.
The Real Madrid-owned midfielder had an average first half-season loan in North London but he’s increasingly becoming a big player under Mikel Arteta.
On Tuesday, Ceballos played a wonderful defence-splitting pass which led to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opening the scoring for Arsenal against Leicester City, having also netted a last-minute winner in an FA Cup quarter-final away to Sheffield United last month.
The Gunners paid £15 million to sign the Spanish maestro on loan [The Sun] and Arteta confirmed last week that the Emirates Stadium club and Real are in communication about him.
Ceballos took to Instagram on Wednesday to react the Leicester result, and wrote ‘This is my team’ in a post-match reaction.
And Arsenal fans believe it’s a clue about possibly staying at the club.
mrmlewis201666: “This is my team” sounds like positive words! Sign on a permanent deal bro
lukekenno: “this is my team’ good. Now we are see ING the Ceballos who ran the show in euros. Quality player and future star. Hope you stay on
joelgwey: “THIS IS MY TEAM” LOVE THIS ATTITUD
iithmam: My Team. This is Arsenal … Ceballos you are an amazing midfielder, stay with us permanently
sirabdalla_farah: This is my team i like that phrase @danifuli10 keep going
Money is bound to be a little tight for Arsenal when the transfer window opens and it remains to be seen if funds will be made available to sign Ceballos on a permanent basis.
But if he continues in this kind of form then maybe Stan Kroenke will go digging down the back of the couch to find enough to prise him from the Spanish capital.
