Arsenal slumped to defeat on Sunday afternoon, losing the North London derby 2-1 away at Tottenham Hotspur.

The two sides had played out a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium earlier this season, and Arsenal will have been hoping for a win over their neighbours.

They at least took the lead, as Alexandre Lacazette smashed home a stunning long-rage strike to open the scoring.

However, that’s as good as it got for Arsenal. David Luiz and Sead Kolasinac contrived to give Son Heung-min a run through on goal, and he dinked over Emiliano Martinez to equalise.

Despite having plenty of the ball and hitting the woodwork through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal lost as Toby Alderweireld headed the winner for Spurs.

After the game, Dani Ceballos took to Twitter to react to the defeat, with the midfielder suggesting that it just wasn’t Arsenal’s day.

Ceballos vowed to try and win the remaining matches this season, but that wasn’t quite good enough for some fans who are sick of hearing the same things time and time again from players after losing big games.

Others praised Ceballos, believing he was one of the few players deserving of praise after an ‘outstanding’ performance against Spurs, with his message seeming splitting supporters.
