Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are praising Sokratis Papastathopoulos’s professionalism, in spite of what’s happened.
The big Greece centre-back was left out of Arsenal’s revised Premier League squad earlier this week.
But Sokratis’s omission is perhaps overshadowed by the fact that Mesut Ozil, a bigger player with a bigger profile, was also frozen out by Mikel Arteta.
Nevertheless, the former Borussia Dortmund defender was photographed training at London Colney this afternoon.
And the player has posted a photo of himself on Twitter, alongside a couple of emojis.

At this point, it’s probably more likely that Sokratis will play for Arsenal again than it is for Ozil.
The former Germany international released a statement expressing his ‘deep disappointment’ over Arteta’s decision, with the Spaniard subsequently forced to answer a lot of questions about the playmaker.
Sokratis, on the other hand, is taking his omission on the chin, going about his business quietly, and Arteta will respect that more.
