It looks like Kieran Tierney is fighting fit for Arsenal again.
The Gunners returned to training at London Colney last week following a two-month absence due to the global health crisis.
But Tierney, a £25 million signing last summer, wasn’t among the players photographed back at Arsenal.
The Scotland left-back has had a torrid first season in North London due to injuries, having failed to play since December and has only managed 299 minutes of Premier League action overall.
That being said, the 22-year-old was training with his Arsenal team-mates on Tuesday afternoon, as the club’s Twitter account revealed yesterday.
And here’s how fans reacted to the good news on Twitter.
This is an important period for Tierney, because last week The Sun reported that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wanted to sign Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico.
There’s pressure on the former Celtic star to stay fit because, if he can’t, then the club might just sign competition – and somebody of Tagliafico’s calibre definitely represents competition.
