Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are singing the praises of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves amid speculation that he’s moving to North London.

The Wolves star played 62 minutes on Wednesday night as Portugal warmed up for Euro 2020 with a 4-0 victory over Israel.

This was Neves’s first game since the speculation broke about him joining Arsenal.

According to The Daily Mail, the player has told some of his Wolves teammates that he really wants a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are going to need a long-term replacement for Granit Xhaka amid intense rumours that he’s off to Roma.

And some Arsenal fans were very impressed by his hour-long display for his country on Wednesday:

How much will Arsenal pay for Neves?

Goal reported this week that the North Londoners can expect to stump up as much as £35 million for the 24-year-old.

Considering they’re on course to receive less than half that amount for Italy-bound Xhaka, the Gunners will have to put a fair chunk of their own money toward the transfer if they want it to materialise.

If rumours are true, the player himself is keen on a switch to Arsenal and if they’re serious, they really need to pull the trigger on this.

Dithering has cost Mikel Arteta and Edu in the past – not to mention Arsene Wenger during his lengthy spell at the club – and if Neves has a solid European Championships then his value may only increase.
