Arsenal’s season might be going from bad to worse.
The Gunner slumped to a 1-0 defeat by Aston Villa at Villa Park this afternoon for what was their second loss in the space of three days, after losing to Wolves in midweek.
Mikel Arteta’s side have only won one point from their last three games but even more worryingly, it looks like Thomas Partey might be set for a stint on the sidelines…..again.
The Ghana international has only managed nine Premier League starts since joining Arsenal for £45 million from Atletico Madrid in October.
Partey has suffered two separate injuries since then and went off this afternoon with what Arteta claimed was a muscular problem, but he couldn’t divulge details on the severity of it.

It could just be a knock that he runs off in training over the coming days, or it could be something a little more sinister but for Arsenal’s sake – and Arteta’s sake – you hope this is a short-term issue.
