Arsenal slipped to another defeat and another blank in front of goal today as they were beaten 2-0 by rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners made the short trip across North London, but were 1-0 down in the first half as Son Heung-min fired home a stunning long-range goal.

Arsenal had plenty of possession but couldn’t make it count, and were hit on the break as Son found Harry Kane to make it 2-0.

Mikel Arteta’s men pressed and pressed, searching for a way back into the game by launching 44 crosses into the box, but Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham were resolute throughout.

That means Arsenal have once again failed to score, and have found the net just twice in their last seven Premier League games.

Arteta is coming under increasing pressure, and whilst there wasn’t much to shout about today, fans did praise Alexandre Lacazette.

The Frenchman worked just off Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang today as Arteta continues to test him in a deeper role, and he was one of the more lively players.

Some fans praised him as ‘fantastic’ and the best player on the pitch, hailing him for his work rate and for being better than Aubameyang both today and this season.
