Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting after it was announced that Edmond Tapsoba has suffered a syndesmosis tear amid his links to the Gunners.
The defender had been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, but it seems as though any potential transfer will have to be put on hold as he recovers from his injury.
As you can probably tell, a syndesmosis tear is a rather serious injury, and he will miss the first few weeks of the season with this problem.
Of course, Arsenal could still sign him, an injury doesn’t necessarily scupper every transfer deal – let’s not forget that the Gunners signed Kim Kallstrom with a broken back once upon a time.
However, fans aren’t feeling too confident about any potential move right now, as you can see by the reaction on social media.
