Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after noticing a major change in Rob Holding’s appearance over the international break.
What’s the story?
Well, it looks as if the £2.5m man has got a bit tired of the ‘Rob Balding’ shouts, as he’s seemingly undergone a hair transplant.
A few weeks ago, some eagle-eyed Arsenal fans noticed Holding’s hairline had resurrected as the Gunners lined up for team photo day.
Now, the centre-back has been spotted out in Portugal supporting his partner – Sporting Clube de Braga Femenino’s Paige Almendariz.
Holding’s transplant has clearly gone to plan, as he can be seen alongside Almendariz with a full head of hair – what a comeback.
As one fan below hilariously wrote, they haven’t seen a comeback like this since Liverpool’s heroics against AC Milan in Istanbul, back in 2005.
Can Arsenal expect a new Rob Holding?
This might seem far-fetched to say, but it’s certainly possible that Holding’s hair transplant impacts his form.
Confidence in football is everything – if you could bottle it up and sell it, clubs would probably spend millions on it.
Receding hairlines are normal for men, but some may find themselves losing confidence as they watch their locks disappear.
Now Holding has seen to his receding hairline, who knows what might happen?
If the £40,000-a-week man suddenly starts to play like a different man, it’s no wonder why.
Having said that, he will have to break down the impressive pairing of Ben White and Gabriel Magalhães in order to get into Mikel Arteta’s XI.
