Martin Odegaard has claimed that he’s feeling ‘very happy’ at Arsenal right now.

The Gunners brought Odegaard to North London on a half-season loan from Real Madrid in January and he seems to be getting better and better.

On Thursday, the 22-year-old scored a thunderous first goal for Arsenal in helping Mikel Arteta’s side beat Olympiacos 3-1 in the first leg of a last-16 Europa League tie.

To even attempt to score from where he did illustrates that the Norway international is brimming with confidence at the moment.

Speaking to Arsenal’s Twitter account after the game, Odegaard said: “I’m very happy. As I said before, I feel great here. I feel at home and I’m happy to be here. I think the way we play football suits me really well.”

It remains to be seen whether Edu and Mikel Arteta are able to sign Odegaard on a long-term basis, with his agreement coming to an end this summer.

But some Arsenal fans are desperate to see him signed permanently, in light of his goal and claim that he’s very content with life with the Premier League club right now.

Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter:
