Finally, Arsenal seem to be getting a little bit of good luck.
The Gunners have endured a rotten start to the Premier League season, losing to both Brentford and Chelsea already.
But between injuries and positive COVID cases, Mikel Arteta hasn’t had it easy with regards to having his best players available.
However, the Arsenal boss is getting some luck on this front now and he has received a timely injury boost.
The North Londoners have a tricky trip away to Manchester City this afternoon but Arsenal confirmed via their official website that both Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney are available to start.
Saka suffered a knock in the 6-0 demolition of West Brom in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, while Tierney came off injured against the Blues last weekend.
They’re both massive players for Arteta and their inclusions could be huge for Arsenal today.
Here’s how some fans of the Emirates Stadium club are reacting to the double boost on Twitter:
Change in mood
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having scored a hat-trick in midweek, combined with Tierney and Saka being available, suddenly there’s less to fear about facing Pep Guardiola’s side.
Okay they’re still the reigning Premier League champions and capable of dishing out an epic spanking for Arsenal, but there’s more reason to be cheerful now than there was directly after the Chelsea defeat last weekend.
In all probability, Arteta’s side are still going to lose, but they have a fighting chance and these boosts should, in theory, make it much more interesting as a spectacle.
