Arsenal and Everton fans on Twitter were wowed by Wilfried Zaha’s goal in pre-season as Crystal Palace ran out clear winners against Charlton yesterday.

The highly-sought-after winger brilliantly back-flicked the ball to a teammate whilst on the counter, he then received the ball in the opposition half where he was turning several Charlton players inside and out before slotting home on his right foot.

It was a moment of pure brilliance from the dribbling specialist, who no doubt gets a thrill out of making defenders fall on their backsides because they simply don’t know which way he is going to turn.

Zaha’s goal didn’t go unnoticed with the Arsenal and Everton fans, who have expressed their hope that they can sign the Palace superstar.

Given that teams both home and abroad are hunting for his signature, this summer will surely pave the way for his departure from Selhurst Park?

The Guardian did previously claim that Zaha is intent on leaving his boyhood club this summer, with Arsenal and Everton named as potential suitors, according to the Daily Mail and the Sun.

Arsenal’s record transfer deals

  1. Nicolas Pepe

    £72 million

  2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

    £56 million

  3. Alexandre Lacazette

    £52 million

  4. Thomas Partey

    45 million

  5. Mesut Ozil

    £42 million

Now that Arsenal have signed Willian, it remains to be seen whether they will push for his signature because he’s not needed, but Carlo Ancelotti could do with his services on Merseyside.

Either way, expect Zaha’s name to be branded about during this delayed summer transfer window because it would be a surprise if he stays at his current club, especially if he continues to score worldies in pre-season.

Nonetheless, a selection of Arsenal and Everton fans appreciated Zaha’s goal in pre-season yesterday:
