Emiliano Buendia has revealed on Twitter that he cannot wait to show Aston Villa fans what he can do, but some Arsenal supporters haven’t taken it well.

Aston Villa have signed the Argentine attacker on a five-year deal after helping Norwich City to Premier League promotion last season.

The Villans beat Arsenal to the signing of the 24-year-old, named as Championship Player of the Year last term.

Missing out on a signing is a sore one, especially a signing like this.

Here’s how some Aston Villa and Arsenal fans responded to his latest post on Twitter:

Arsenal have a few more irons on the fire with regards to signing an attacking midfielder.

And who knows, missing out on Buendia may prove a blessing in disguise for the Emirates Stadium club because he hasn’t proven himself a top-quality Premier League player, even if his last season in the top flight [2019-20] was a decent one.

But Villa paid a potential £38 million for the South American [Sky Sports] and he will expect to be a lot better than just ‘decent’ next term and beyond.
