Speaking on the Official England Podcast, John Terry has been waxing-lyrical about Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings.
Terry works with Mings on a daily basis at Villa, and he’s been very happy to see the centre-half starring for England on the international stage at the Euros.
The former Chelsea captain had nothing but good things to say about Mings, describing him as ‘superb’.

Terry gave Mings a rave review on the podcast.
“I always knew that once Tyrone got into the squad Gareth and Steve would really like him, the personality he has and what he brings to the squad as well. Very solid and very quick, naturally left-footed as well, which we’re not blessed with at centre-back as well. He’s been a superb defender for us this year,” Terry said.

Mings is undoubtedly a fantastic footballer, and he’s been one of England’s real stars at the Euros.
If the Three Lions are to go on and win this tournament then Mings will undoubtedly have a big part to play, and while Harry Maguire is back fit, if Gareth Southgate opts to go for a back three then Mings could be called upon once again.
Regardless of his showings for England, Mings has blossomed into a real Premier League star with his performances for Aston Villa over the past two seasons, and Terry is spot on with his analysis.
