Tottenham Hotspur forward Roberto Soldado cannot get a run of goalscoring form going.
Roberto Soldado’s goal-scoring woes may have continued during Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Burnley last night, but one of his teammates was grateful for his contribution.
Rose added Spurs’ fourth strike of the night, getting on the end of a Soldado cross to poke home, and the England youth international paid tribute to the striker’s efforts.
“It was great work from Robbie Soldado with the assist and I was lucky to get on the end of it to round off a positive comeback from the team,” he told the club’s official site.
Rose was deployed at left wing during the match, with Ben Davies taking his usual left-back spot, and he largely impressed.
Blessed with pace and a natural desire to run at defenders, Rose has always impressed in an attacking sense and he had even more of a chance to get forward yesterday.
It may be a role that he has to perform more often in the future, with Spurs’s cover in the wing positions looking sparse, and if he continues to put in displays of similar quality there will be few complaints about that.
