Sol Campbell has raved about reported Liverpool target Pedri on talkSPORT.

The former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur defender was impressed by Pedri, linked with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, during Spain’s win against Croatia in Euro 2020 Round of 16 on Monday.

The Englishman has said that the 18-year-old central midfielder was “incredible” and plays with no fear.

Liverpool Interest

Pedri has been linked with a move to Liverpool from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

The Mirror reported in April that Liverpool have made contact with the representatives of the Spain international central midfielder.

The teenager has a release clause of £70 million, but Barcelona do not want to sell him.

The Spanish and European giants actually want to extend the current contract of Pedri.

What Sol Campbell said

Campball said about Pedri on talkSPORT: “Unlucky for him, he scored an own goal, but then he was incredible. He is only 18. He is fantastic. When he is playing, it’s like he has no fear.”

How did Pedri play?

Pedri has been playing well for Spain at the European Championship, and on Monday, the 18-year-old once again showed just why Liverpool are reportedly so keen on him.

The teenager was classy in the middle of the park, was pulling the strings from midfield, did not look fazed by the occasion, and was very noticeable for his touches.

Barcelona star Pedri played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 89.2%, won one header, took 79 touches, attempted one dribble, made one tackle, and put in one cross.
