The centre-back departed Leeds United earlier this summer on a free transfer.
Ivorian defender Sol Bamba has been talking about his decision to join Cardiff City on a free transfer this week.
Neil Warnock recently took over at the Cardiff City Stadium – following the departure of Paul Trollope. Cardiff are struggling near the wrong end of the table and Bluebirds fans are no doubt hoping Warnock can turn their fortunes around.

Since his arrival Warnock has made moves for three free agents. Marouane Chamakh and Junior Hoilett have both signed on – as has Bamba.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Bamba admitted a desire to work with Warnock was one of the big reasons behind his choice of location:
“I’m excited to be here. I always want to work with the gaffer, so as soon as this chance arose I jumped at it.
“I know the league very well and am looking forward to offering my experience and leadership to Cardiff City.”

Bamba was released by Leeds United the day after the transfer window shut. The Ivory Coast international was apparently released due to personal reasons, but it soon emerged that Leeds boss Garry Monk was not overly keen on the player after a poor start to the season.

Leeds have since seen the centre-back pairing of Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley flourish in Bamba’s departure and not many fans are worried he could impact them now he’s back in the Championship.
Cardiff fans, and Neil Warnock, will just hope he adds some stability to the defence.
