Everton recorded a much-needed win against Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

Cardiff City defender Sol Bamba has made it clear that Everton have a ‘better chance’ to win if the ‘gifted’ Gylfi Sigurdsson is on his ‘game’.
The 29-year-old midfielder netted a brace for his side as they recorded a comfortable 3-0 win against Bamba’s relegation-threatened team on Tuesday night.
It was a much-needed victory for the Toffees, who were experiencing a number of bad results and performances since the turn of the year.
Speaking to the Football Centre on Sky Sports News (27/02/2019 at 12:10 pm), Premier League ace, Bamba offered his brief thoughts on Sigurdsson and what is so good about him.
“He’s clever,” Bamba told Sky Sports News. “Technically very gifted and he makes Everton tick. When he is on the game Everton have a better chance to win.”
In the game itself, centre-back Bamba played the full match, while Sigurdsson was substituted minutes before the end after his Man of the Match display.

Throughout the match, the Toffees caused Neil Warnock’s side problems in the final third, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin adding to his teammates brace.
As a result of those three points, Everton move into the Premier League’s top 10 where they are a point above 11th-placed Leicester City and four points behind seventh-placed Wolves.
Nonetheless, over the course of the season, Sigurdsson has played 31 matches in all competitions for his side, scoring 12 goals and supplying his teammates with four assists [transfermarkt].
