Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the new Arsenal captain.

As reported by The Telegraph, Aubameyang has become the new captain of Arsenal after it was taken off of Granit Xhaka for his outburst against his own fans.
Sokratis played with the 30-year-old Gabon international striker at Borussia Dortmund, and the 31-year-old Greece international central defender has suggested that he should not focus too much on the captaincy.
Sokratis told The Telegraph: “I think it is the first time he is a captain. For me it’s important that Aubameyang first has to score, he has to do his work. The captaincy or who has this [armband] on the pitch, I don’t think it is very important.
“He [Aubameyang] is a very good guy. [But] who has the captaincy is not very important. It is important that all the team is good in the dressing room. We are like a family. In the end who brings to the pitch the captaincy is the last thing.”

Stats
Aubameyang has been superb for Arsenal since he moved to the North London outfit from Dortmund in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £56 million.
According to WhoScored, the striker scored 22 goals and provided five assists in the Premier League last season, and has scored eight goals in 11 league games for the Gunners so far this campaign.
For Arsenal to have a successful season, Aubameyang has to be on top of his game throughout.
