Sofiane Feghouli has told West Ham United’s official site that he wants a run of games in the starting line-up.

Feghouli caught the eye over pre-season, but a hamstring problem has ruled him out for much of the campaign so far.

The Algerian made his Premier League debut as a substitute in West Ham’s 4-2 defeat against West Bromwich Albion, and that taste of action has left him wanting more.

“I was injured for a little bit, but now I feel really good,” Feghouli said.

“I played with the reserves last week and on Saturday, so I will be available to the coach. I want to play in every match and want to play 90 minutes in every game.

“I am hungry and I can’t wait to defend the colours of West Ham and to help my team to improve in the coming weeks.”

Feghouli’s return to fitness for West Ham is good news for them, as they have made a poor start to the campaign.

The Hammers have won just one of their first five matches, and they are currently stationed in 19th place in the Premier League table.

Feghouli could make his first domestic start for West Ham on Wednesday night, when Slaven Bilic’s side take on Accrington Stanley in the League Cup.

West Ham’s next Premier League match comes against Southampton at the weekend, and the pressure will on them to win in front of their own fans at the London Stadium.
