West Ham United’s development squad were in action in the Premier League 2 on Friday night as they took on Wolverhampton Wanderers, and had to settle for a 2-2 draw after a late equaliser robbed them of the win.
The Hammers’ youngsters took on Wolves at Dagenham and Redbridge’s Victoria Stadium, and fell behind in the first half when Christian Herc put Wolves in front.

Terry Westley’s Hammers did hit back as Domingos Quina’s free kick deflected off Donovan Wilson and into the net, before summer signing Antonio Martinez scored to make it six goals in five games since arriving from Valencia.
However, West Ham were left heartbroken at the death as Morgan Gibbs-White rescued a draw for Wolves in the third minute of stoppage time.

The West Ham team – which featured the like of Reece Oxford and new signing Edimilson Fernandes – will be disappointed with the late goal, but one player will have been pleased just to be on the pitch.
Winger Sofiane Feghouli, snapped up on a free transfer from Valencia, was seen as a major signing for the Hammers having impressed in La Liga, but the Algerian has endured a difficult start to life in East London.
Though he scored against Domzale in the Europa League during the summer, Feghouli recently picked up a hamstring injury, and has been building himself back up to playing in the first team.
Part of those preparations included playing for West Ham’s developmental side, and he took to Twitter after Friday’s game to send a message to fans after receiving vital playing time.
