West Ham United must now unleash their latest star winger.

West Ham's Sofiane Feghouli scores their third goal

At the start of last season, West Ham United fans sat and waited for summer signing Michail Antonio to get his chance following his move from Nottingham Forest, and time and again they were left disappointed.

After a 30-minute cameo in the second league game of the season against Manchester City, the winger sat out the next seven matches, and only got eight minutes when he came off the bench against West Bromwich Albion at the end of November.

From there he began to feature regularly, and once he started playing, he started scoring, ending the campaign with nine goals and five assists in all competitions.

That was just the start, with Antonio just about West Ham’s only shining light in the early weeks of the new campaign, so what better time for another winger to cast off the shackles and take the Hammers by storm?

When Sofiane Feghouli swapped Valencia for West Ham it was hailed as a masterstroke from the London club. However injury has meant the Algeria international has been restricted to just six appearances in all competitions, including four 45-minute cameos.

He showed enough in those outings to suggest that he will have a big role to play in the months ahead, and just like Antonio before him, Feghouli could be the next West Ham winger to start slowly yet end with a bang.
